For our New Year’s service Pastor Green spoke about having the right to religion and using three keys to us help enter 2018. These important keys are ministering to God, ministering to each other, and ministering to the world.
Luke 17:20-21: “20 Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, 21 nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.”
The Kingdom of God is within us – that’s where God is working.
Proverbs 4:23: “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
Out of the heart flow the issues of life.
He also read John 4:21-24, the story of the woman at the well. This story reflects a woman caught in sin, that was hopeless and broken, but with the intervention of Jesus she found hope and salvation. Through her testimony the Gospel of God was spread through out Samaria.
The Lord is about true religion. He wants you to have a real relationship with Him and with each other, and we need to live this out each day.
In order for us to see the Kingdom of God work in our lives and have a true and real relationship with Him we need to be born again. John 3:3: “Jesus replied, ‘Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.’ ”
See John 3:1-10 to read more about the story of Nicodemus and being born again.
